Please Let Me Show You Love
I believe in the deity of Jesus Christ and I am not ashamed to admit it. Perhaps that will alienate some people. Maybe agnostic or atheist will be offended and click the back button and exit this site. That is not my intent. I only hope that the majority of people who read the post on my blog and use my application will give me a chance to demonstrate the love that is supposed to radiate from Christians.
I Do Not Love Money
At the end of the day my overall goal is to glorify God in my efforts. I want to help people and provide a product that has value. Everything I do has to be done as if Jesus is looking over my shoulder asking “How does this further my Kingdom?” It might sound crazy to some, but I believe it will help me make a product that is not focused on just enriching my pockets. I want to be very clear, I do not love money even though my application is focused on profit. I am walking a very thin line, so in order to keep myself grounded I try my best to make sure God is glorified in what I do.
How Do I Glorify God?
I don’t know your business model or your dream. So I can’t tell you with great detail how to include God in your plans. My advice is first show love to others, this is the great commandment. Then sit down and ask yourself do my business practices line up with God’s word. Below is a list of demands I have placed on myself to glorify God first and foremost.
- I will pray to the Lord and and invite Him into my work
- I will always look for relatable scripture to add to my blog post
- I will not hide my faith or be scared to display it in my work
- I will not cuss, belittle competitors or indulge any other negative social media behavior
- I will not add unneeded features for the sole purpose of generating revenue
- I shall not place monetized advertisement in annoying places to generate revenue
- I will not pop up annoying modal window that have no value
- I will never preach the prosperity gospel. It is of the devil
- I will display love
Are You Offended?
If my advice offends you or you find yourself wanting to argue with me about my beliefs, I kindly ask you to reconsider. It is not my goal to convert, judge or condemn you. I am simply trying to come up with a framework to motivate people and help them chase down their ambitions. I am not above constructive criticism, I actually encourage it. But I will not argue with non-believers for the sake of defending my faith. I believe what I believe: Christ is Love. He must be my first priority. I am not interested in who you cohabitate with or what gender you love. I do not care to enter into conversation about evolution or the many wars Christians have profited from. I am only interested in showing love. If you are Muslim, Hindu, Jew or some other religion lets us agree that at the end of the day we should all be nice to each other. Arguing with me over my faith is a waste of time, you should be using that time to chase down your dreams.
